We are a small, enthusiastic team of family and friends brought together by our passion for board games and the desire to share the experience our games provide with as many people as possible.
We believe it’s important that our games have simple rules, yet offer deep strategic and tactical possibilities, with replayability that comes close to infinite.
We believe our games can bring people together and provide real entertainment.
This belief is what gave life to Pihári Games.

Our name is borrowed from a Hungarian folk tale, whose main character is Pihári. According to the story, Pihári feared no one, so he set out to see the world and learn what fear truly was. Along the way, he encountered many adventures and overcame numerous challenges before reaching his goal. In the end, it was a fire serpent springing from a box given by a fairy maiden that finally frightened him. At Pihári Games, we know that we, too, have a long road ahead filled with challenges — but we face them boldly to achieve our goals. Our mission is to publish board games that offer meaningful entertainment within a short playtime.

Peter Toth

Designer, co-founder, owner
Peter is one of the founders and the heart of our games. He has been designing board games since childhood. In 2014, his first serious, adult-designed game made it to the finals of a board game design competition. Since then, he has created several games that have provided unforgettable experiences to both friends and strangers.

Edit is the co-founder of the publishing company and the driving force behind Pihári Games. With a background in finance and communications — and a deep love for board games — she keeps everything running smoothly. Thanks to her versatility and strong work ethic, she holds the processes together, whether it’s marketing, finance, or anything else essential to the operation of the company.

Anna Kovacs

Illustrator, Graphic Artist
We believe it’s important that the illustrations in our games are created by human hands. Panka is a professional illustrator whose unique style and perspective ensure that our games are not only fun to play but also visually beautiful.
As a hobby, she also does henna and face painting, as well as tattooing. Her love for craftsmanship has been with her since early childhood — in her free time, she enjoys knitting, crocheting, and macramé.

Andras is a highly experienced player with broad knowledge of the board gaming world. Thanks to his analytical mindset, he is able to evaluate playtest results and create balance within the games.
